William Lewis Darnell

William L. Darnell, 83, of D'Iberville, MS died Thursday, March 4, 2010. Mr. Darnell was retired as a MSgt in the Air Force. He served in many combats throughout his career. He was a loving father and grandfather with open arms. He was always there for his family and friends when they needed him. He had a love for collecting various items but his most treasured collection was his grandchildren. Mr. Darnell is preceded in death by his wife, Nina Darnell; son, Michael Darnell; brothers, Lavelle and Thomas W. Darnell; grandson, Matthew Darnell. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Jarrell and Debra Ladner both D'Iberville; sisters, Lugaene Darnell, Betty Ann Davidson; brothers, W. T. and Charles David Darnell all of Louisiana; grandchildren, Janelle, Venus, Michael S., Joshua, Phillip, Vanessa, Melissa, William, Rebecca, Jessica, Veronica and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kelsie, Austin, Dara, Aiden, Ethan and T.J. Survivors also include scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
