William Merritt

William "Doug" Merritt, age 58, of Gautier, MS, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in Gautier. Mr. Merritt was born in Key West, FL and had been a longtime resident of Gautier. He was a member of the N.R.A. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Merritt. Survivors include two daughters; Danielle and Becky; one sister, Sonja; and his mother, Ruby Lowman. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the American Cancer Society: 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
