William Gordon Sloan

William Gordon Sloan, 81, of Ocean Springs, MS died Monday, September 10, 2012. William was a native of Valdosta, GA and the son of the late William T. and Mildred Hall Sloan. He served in the U.S. Military for over 20 years, serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1968 as a Staff Sergeant Firefighter. He is preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Mildred Sloan; son, Johnny Sams; daughter, Linda Sorce. William is survived by his wife, Susan Sloan; three sons, Terry Fitzwater (Barabara), Robert Fitzwater (Kay) and Glenn Fitzwater (Darla); 6 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Biloxi National Cemetery.
