Wilson Powell Coody

Wilson "Willie Wilson" Powell Coody, 65, of Perry, GA, formerly of McRae, GA, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, March 5, 2012. Mr. Coody was a member of the Helena Methodist Church and a life long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was the son of the late Wilson Porter and Carolyn Powell Coody. Survivors include his daughters, Carla Catreece Fritts (Russell) and Carol Coody Hammons both of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Fritts, Adam Fritts and Lucas Hammons; step-grandchildren, Brett and Jacklyn Hammons; sisters, Joy Newton and Ms. Sherma Ashcraft; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends on the Gulf Coast. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Lowe's Funeral Home in McRae, GA. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thurday, March 8, 2012 at the Telfair Memorial Gardens in McRae, GA where Rev. Don Caulley will be officiating. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe is in charge of arrangments.
