Zola Brand

Zola Marie Brand peacefully joined our Lord’s heavenly choir on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Ms. Brand was preceded in death by her parents, Lendon Grady Brand and Alice Maye Therrell Brand; and her older siblings, Torris Brand, Winifred Brand Hayford and Robert Brand. As a 1943 Biloxi High graduate, Zola’s professional life was immersed in the coast banking community, first at Peoples Bank for 26 years and Hancock Bank from 1969 until her retirement. Zola’s alto voice was an integral part of the Keesler 180 voice choir performance of Handel’s “Messiah” for 25 years, the only voice to perform in all. She was an active choir member of the First United Methodist Church of Biloxi. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am at Southern Memorial Park on Friday, September 2, 2016 with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. The Howard Avenue Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
