Zula Jane Wilson Kimble

Zula Jane Wilson Kimble, age 70, of Meridian, MS passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 in Biloxi, MS after suffering a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia.

She was born on July 4, 1952 to James Elton Wilson and Mary Pauline (Maten) Wilson in Meridian, MS. As a native of Meridian, MS, she graduated from Meridian High School. After graduation, she attended Meridian Community College and later transferred to the University of Southern MS to pursue a degree in Medical Technology. During her time at Southern, she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and various clubs. After graduation, she pursued her career as a Medical Technologist. She was employed at Anderson Regional Medical Center for 31 years where she loved serving the medical community and residents of Meridian.

Zula is preceded in death by her parents, James E. Wilson and Mary Pauline Wilson; and her son, Adam Seth Kimble.

She is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Doug) Wilson of Ocean Springs, MS and Molly (Jacob) Ray of Pace FL; grandchildren, Katherine Matthews and Owen Ray; her brother, Dr. James (Rhonda) Wilson; and the love of her life, Scott White.

Everyone who knew Zula felt her compassion, big heart, and giving nature. She showed her love to others by cooking and donating her time to others and various organizations. In her younger years she, enjoyed running road races and marathons with her friends. She was a fan of Ole Miss football, tailgating, and spending time at the beach.

The family would like to thank the administration and staff at The Blake at Biloxi, Kindred Hospice of Biloxi, and Marie Naquin for their kindness, compassion, and love shown to her during her battle with Parkinson’s and dementia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, MS at 4:00 pm.
